refund policy
last updated June 13, 2026
docbin Pro is billed through Stripe on a recurring monthly or annual basis. this policy explains how cancellations and refunds work. it is part of our terms of service.
cancelling
you can cancel any time from pro membership in settings, which opens the Stripe billing portal. cancellation stops future renewals.
refunds
if you cancel and your account is in good standing, we will refund the unused, prorated portion of your current billing period. for example, cancelling halfway through a paid month or year refunds roughly half of that period’s charge.
exception: no refund is given when an account is terminated or downgraded for violating our terms or acceptable use policy.
what happens on downgrade
when Pro ends - by cancellation, refund, or non-payment - your account returns to the free tier and its limits (smaller upload size and fewer files per group). documents that exceed the free-tier limits may be removed. back up anything large before you cancel.
chargebacks
if you have a billing concern, contact us first - we would rather fix it directly. filing a chargeback instead of requesting a refund may result in suspension of your account.
requesting a refund
cancel from the billing portal, then email support@cryptik.consulting if your prorated refund has not been issued. include the email on your account.
